The Red List Project
The Red List Project is one of the activities under the Threatened Plants Section of the NBRI. The project aims to assign a conservation status to every one of Namibia’s more than 4000 indigenous plant taxa, using the IUCN Red List classification system. To date, over 1400 taxa have been assigned a conservation status. The Red List is dynamic and the status of any taxon is updated as new information becomes available.
